The unification (al-jam’)

In the arabic language

jama’a l-mutafarriq: the act of gathering a thing with something else. [1]

In the Tariqa Karkariya

It is the external source of the quranic reality based on the aspects of existence and nil. The expressions and the descriptions are annihilated; the divine presence and the created location are folded. Then what was already evanescent is extinguished, and the Truth is seen without creation in front of Him.

Al-jam’ refers to the unification of a part with the all. It also refers to the return of the ramifications to the origin, until the vision of the Truth by the Truth is fulfilled… until the theophanies of the beauty of the attributes and the divine Names flowing in the ramification of the distinction (farq) are contemplated. Only then, you will see the one flowing in all the numbers… as well as the alif flows in all letters. Only then, you will see Him in everything and all images will be extinguished in the heart of His permanency (baqa) and the expanded universe (fatq) will return to a joined entity (ratq).

Allâh ﷻ says: “Have those who disbelieved (kafara) not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and we separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?”[2]

It means: have those who concealed (the word karafa in arabic means “to conceal”, “to hide something”) not considered the esoteric reality and the uniqueness of the primordial Essence which indicate that the heavens of the spirit and the earth of the body were a joined entity that we separated by the unity, highlighting in the same time the illusion of farq. And we made from the transcendent water every living thing, preserving the scales of Justice by giving to each divine Name his effective part.

The spiritual level of the unification is one of the founding principles of sufi initiation. He who has not reached that level has no parts in the divine contemplation (chuhud) and in the divine knowledge (ma’rifa).

Consequently, bringing back the seven heavens, the seven earths, the kursi and the throne (‘arsh) to their original state of joined entity (ratq) is one of the founding principles of our way. In this way, the pupil will see the role of the One in the different numerical values. He will see with his own eyes the actions of the Truth (al-Haqq) through the actions of his servants, so that all the actions will be seen as coming from Him.

From this point, he will contemplate the illusory existence of the creation through Allâh and his Name. The rules of the Name will manifest to him and they will vanish all the images and their illusions.

The present time will speak with the eternal tongue; the unity will be contemplated in the heart of the duplicity, the spirit will be grabbed by the vision of the pre-eternal beauty. He will understand that this duplicity has no existence by itself as it was an ephemeral mere shadow. The things will be seen as existing through the real Essence and no more by themselves. The perceptions of other than Allâh will be extinguished and the pupil will disappear in the ocean of the letter ha.
